Replacing the Oil Sump on a Volkswagen Jetta

In this short and simple guide, you will learn how to remove and replace the engine oil sump on a Volkswagen Jetta, as well as on the Golf and Bora. First, lift the vehicle and begin draining the engine oil by unscrewing the drain plug and allowing the oil to flow into a container. Next, unscrew the fastening screws of the oil sump located on its sides to remove it. At this point, clean the base of the sump thoroughly, then replace its gasket with the original one. Refit the oil sump and pour in the new engine oil!
