Evolution of EURO NCAP crash tests for the Volkswagen Passat from B5/B6/B7/B8

In this very interesting video, we can see the evolution of safety standards developed by the Volkswagen Passat in the various versions that have succeeded over the years, according to the strict safety standards of the Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme). Starting from the B5 version, built between 1996 and 2005, which earned 3 stars in the Euro NCAP test. A leap in quality was perceived in the next version B6, built between 2006 and 2010, which indeed earned 4 stars in the tests. We can then see the significant difference with the B7 (2010/2014) and B8 (2014/2023) versions which then earned the maximum score of five stars, which means a very high level of protection in all tested areas.
