Diagnosis and Replacement of the Auxiliary Battery on Volvo S90

Let’s see how to diagnose the malfunction and then replace the auxiliary battery on the Volvo S90: the electrical system was giving error messages, and there were issues with the start & stop; intermittent electronic malfunctions and a flat main battery. The auxiliary battery is located in the engine compartment, situated in a box near the main battery. Before working on the auxiliary battery, disconnect the negative terminal of the main battery. As with all batteries, disconnect the negative first, then the positive, remove the battery from its housing, clean the terminals with a wire brush, and install a new battery with the same capacity and specifications as the original. Reconnect the terminals (positive first, then negative), secure it properly, and reconnect the main battery. Start the car and check for any errors with a diagnostic tool.
