How to Remove the Engine Block from a Volvo S40

In this guide, we will outline the main instructions on how to disassemble and remove the entire engine block from the chassis of a Volvo S40. First, open the bonnet of the vehicle and start draining the fluids by unscrewing the bleed screws; then remove the front bumper by unscrewing all the screws, as shown in the video. At this point, disconnect the engine mount and the front drive shafts, then disconnect the suspension from the chassis; once the fuel lines are disconnected, you will disconnect the engine from the exhaust system and the gearbox, lowering and removing the engine using a jack.
