How to Remove the Front Bumper on a Volvo S40

Let’s look at removing the front bumper on a Volvo S40: lift the bonnet and secure it, raise the car on a jack; using a plastic or metal lever, remove the retaining rivets located at the top of the bumper. Once the rivets (pins) at the top are removed, take off the plastic wheel arch liners and unscrew the screws located in the liners (remove the pins at the bottom of the bumper). Remove the bumper from the body of the vehicle by hand; carry out the necessary maintenance and refit the new bumper with all the attached parts.
