Replacing the Front Bonnet Support Strut

If the front bonnet tends to fall when opened, it means the support strut has lost its ability to hold it up and needs replacing: this is a gas spring specifically calibrated to support the weight of the bonnet and provide the right resistance during closure to prevent it from slamming shut. To replace this strut, open the front bonnet, apply a support rod (a broom handle will do), unclip the safety catches from the ball joints, and remove the old strut; then fit the new one, insert the fastening catches, and remove the temporary support rod.

To reset the tyre pressure warning light on the Suzuki Jimny, first inflate the tyres to the pressure value indicated on the corresponding sticker: this is located at the bottom of the driver's door pillar. Once the tyres are inflated, insert the ignition key and turn on the instrument panel: select the screen that indicates the tyre pressures, checking that the values change.
