Dismantling Front Headlamp Lens

Model: Volvo S40 MK 2 - Years 2004-2012

Once the front headlamp is removed, unclip the metal clips that secure the lens to the plastic support. Use a heat gun to warm the adhesive along the edge of the lens to soften it, then pull the lens to detach it from the plastic support. Clean the inside of the lens thoroughly to remove any residue, remove the old adhesive from the edge, and apply new sealing adhesive along the edge, then attach the lens to the plastic support: it is advisable to use masking tape during the adhesive drying process to ensure the lens adheres well to the support. Also, check for any cracks in the adhesive before proceeding with installation.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y

To open the bonnet on this vehicle, follow these simple instructions: first, open the driver's door and locate the lever positioned just below the dashboard, marked with an image of the vehicle with the bonnet open. Pull this lever towards you until you hear a "click" indicating the bonnet is released. Next, exit the cabin and stand in front of the bonnet to disengage the safety catch and complete the opening. To do this, slightly lift the bonnet, locate the yellow lever underneath, and pull it to the left to fully release and open the bonnet.
