How to Remove the Rear Bumper on a Volvo V40

Model: Volvo S40 MK 2 - Years 2004-2012

Is the rear bumper of your Volvo V40 broken? Do you want to replace it? Here’s how to remove it from the back of the car. Open the boot lid, unscrew the securing bolts located inside the boot (remove the trim cover). Remove the screws at the bottom of the bumper, then take out the screws located at the sides of the wheel arch liners. Once the bumper is free from any screws, grab it with both hands and pull it away from the bodywork (disconnect the electrical connectors). Fit the new bumper onto the rear bodywork (screw in the securing screws and the boot trim panels).
