How do you replace the handbrake cable on the Volvo V40?

The handbrake cable of the Volvo V40 can be replaced by lifting the car with a jack or a lift to gain access to the components located underneath the vehicle. First, you will need to detach one end of the cable by removing the panel covering the central tunnel at the rear. Then, you can detach the other ends of the cable at the rear brake calipers. This way, you can also loosen the screws of the cable supports to allow for its removal. Finally, you can insert and connect the new cable to ensure everything is functioning properly.
