Removing the Wing Mirror Cover

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

To remove the cover of the external wing mirror, you must first detach the mirror: this is a very simple operation as both the mirror and the cover are secured with pressure clips. Rotate the mirror downwards to access the rear and lever off the securing clips. Then disconnect the demisting system cables and completely remove the mirror. At this point, you can access the inside of the mirror to unclip the tabs that secure the outer cover and remove it.
