Replacement of External Wing Mirror Glass

Model: Volvo S40 MK 1 - Years 1995-2004

If only the glass of the external wing mirror is broken, you can replace it without removing the entire mirror; rotate the mirror downwards and lever at the back to detach it from its housing and disconnect the heated mirror wires to remove it completely. For installation, proceed in reverse order: connect the wires, align the glass with its housing, and press it in until it clicks into place. A quick and cost-effective solution could be to have a glass cutter cut the shape of the mirror and apply it over the broken one with silicone.
