To replace the climate control switches on the Volvo S60, you need to pry with an object to remove the trim located on the center console around the gear shift: once this trim is removed, you can loosen the screws found inside the ashtray located directly in front of the gear shift. This way, you can pry inside to detach the control panel, disconnecting its rear connectors. Then, you can connect the new panel to the connectors, securing it with the appropriate screws.
