In this article, we will see how to disassemble the rear wheel of the Yamaha T Max 500 in order to replace it. First, you need to put the scooter on the center stand, then use a Phillips screwdriver to unscrew and remove the 2 screws of the cover. Once the 2 screws are removed, remove the cover. At this point, use a 12mm socket wrench to remove the brake caliper bolts. Once the bolts are removed, remove the brake caliper, being careful not to touch the brake pads or levers. Now, use a 12mm socket wrench to remove the wheel locking bolt, then use a 17mm socket wrench to remove the right axle as shown in the video below, and remove the left axle using a 19mm socket wrench. Next, remove the fixing bolt on the left side and then remove the locking axle to remove the wheel. Now the procedure is complete, so you can replace the wheel and reinsert all the previously removed components.
