After raising the saddle and completely emptying the compartment below, you can easily see the battery compartment located in the lower part of the same. Then, with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws that secure the cover. Once the battery compartment has been uncovered, you can unscrew and then disconnect the two poles: remember that you always start by disconnecting the negative pole and only then go to the positive. Once all this is done, remove the exhausted battery and insert the new one, then proceed backwards until complete reassembly and check its operation.

How to change the engine oil of Derbi Fds

Let's find out below the instructions on how to carry out the routine maintenance service, replacing the engine oil and the oil filter, of the Derbi Fds. First of all, we put the stand on our bike and start to drain the engine oil, unscrewing the vent bolt that we find under the engine; let the old oil drain in a container for about ten minutes. At this point we unscrew the filler cap and carry out the new top up; we use the oil with the right characteristics, finally checking the oil level using the dipstick!
