If the "V-BELT" light appears on the dashboard of your Yamaha X-MAX scooter, it indicates that maintenance of the drive belt is required, a task best left to your trusted workshop. Once this is done, you will need to manually reset the light by following the instructions in this tutorial. First, remove the front panel by unscrewing all the indicated fixing screws, then locate the white connector that has a small bridge cable connected to it. Start the engine, disconnect the connector, and reconnect it after at least 5 seconds. If done correctly, the light will disappear from the dashboard.
