In this tutorial, we can see how to replace the engine oil in the Yamaha YZF R1, an extremely simple and fast operation. First of all, we wait for the engine to cool down sufficiently, then we remove the lower fairing by unscrewing all the relevant fixing bolts. Next, we position a container below the bike, locate the drain plug bolt, and unscrew it using a 17mm wrench. At this point, we let all the oil in the system drain out, unscrew the old filter, reassemble everything, and pour in the new oil through the designated hole.
