How do you disassemble the DPF in the Volkswagen Golf 7?

Answer

The DPF is none other than the particulate filter, better known by the abbreviation FAP. It is located in the engine compartment so to remove it we must first of all go and lift the front hood. We disconnect the turbocharger exhaust pipe by removing the screws and then extract the FAP by disconnecting it from the upper manifold.
