Removing Diesel Particulate Filter from Volkswagen Golf 6 1.6 TDI

Today, you will see the main steps for removing the diesel particulate filter (DPF) from a sixth-generation Volkswagen Golf. First, open and lift the bonnet, then disconnect the exhaust manifold from the turbocharger by unclipping the metal clamp. Next, lift the vehicle and remove the particulate filter by detaching it from the upper manifold. To do this, unscrew the bolts securing the exhaust pipe support, then remove the tailpipe along with the DPF. Finally, replace it with a new one and reassemble everything!
