When problems with the operation of the crankshaft speed sensor occur on the Ford Fiesta 1.4 TDCi, there will be difficulties during the ignition phase and also during the acceleration phase. The sensor will send an incorrect signal to the control unit making the car go into protection; the defect is quite common on Fiestas fitted with this type of engine. In order to solve the problem it will therefore be necessary to replace the sensor making sure that its wiring is not damaged.
