Here’s how to replace the crankshaft position sensor on an Audi A4: Lift the hood and secure it with the prop rod. Locate the crankshaft position sensor; use a wrench to remove the mounting bolts (if present next to the valve). Disconnect the sensor from the engine mount.

Compare the worn part with the new one, install the new part with the respective mounting bolts, and connect the crankshaft position sensor. Finally, check the installation and ensure the vehicle is functioning correctly.
