In this tutorial, you will see how to replace the crankshaft position sensor on an Audi A4, a very simple task. Before proceeding, ensure the engine is completely cool to work safely. As shown, the sensor is located about halfway up the left side of the engine. To access it, you will first need to remove the battery and its bracket. It is also secured by a single bolt, which can be removed with a 10mm socket wrench. Once extracted, you can disconnect the connector, insert the replacement part, and follow the reverse procedure.
