How to Change the Engine Oil and Filter on the Acura RDX Mk2

This guide shows how to change the engine oil and filter on the Acura RDX Mk2. The first step is to lift the front of the vehicle to access the bottom of the engine. With the hood open, unscrew the oil filler cap to allow for better fluid drainage. From under the vehicle, remove the drain plug with a 17 mm wrench and let the lubricant flow into a disposal container. Reinstall the bolt and clean any residue. Unscrew the filter cartridge located on the right side of the vehicle behind the right front wheel; be careful of any oil that may spill. Install the new filter after lubricating the gasket and cleaning any residue. At this point, lower the vehicle and fill the oil reservoir. Start the engine for a few minutes and check the fluid level; if necessary, top off to the maximum level.
