Let's see how we can repair small leaks on an Alfa Romeo Spider: the fundamental principle is that any air not measured by the air flow meter deceives the ECU, causing incorrect fuel mixture, buzzing, irregular acceleration, and difficulty starting. With the engine off, check all rubber and plastic tubes, where the critical points are often the joints and curves; identify them well with a stethoscope, or with the engine running, spraying some soapy water (but be very careful of the hot parts of the engine). When we find the leak, the best thing to do is to replace it, but we can also make a temporary repair with high-temperature tape. Before reassembling the new components, clean the work area well and make sure they are securely fastened. When starting the engine, make sure the whistling noise has disappeared.
