Airbag Replacement on Alfa Romeo Giulietta

Lift the bonnet and insert the support rod. Disconnect the battery by pressing the red button and disconnecting the associated cable. To remove the airbag, the procedure is very simple: insert a small flat screwdriver into the two holes on either side of the steering wheel (behind the steering wheel) until it stops, and when you feel it click, unscrew to release one side of the airbag at a time. Once it is out of the steering wheel, simply disconnect the two connectors to remove it completely. To install the new airbag, simply reverse the process: connect the connectors to the new part and reinsert it into place.
