Replacement of Brake Pads

Model: Alfa Romeo 156 MK 1 - Years 1997-2007

Loosen the wheel nuts and lift the vehicle securely. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew the two retaining screws of the caliper with an Allen key and remove it by taking off the two retaining springs. Check the wear condition of the retainers and the piston. Clean all brake components from debris. Grease the mounting pins and reposition the piston, ensuring proper operation. Fit the new brake pads, paying attention to the direction of rotation and installing the one with contacts facing inward. Carefully reassemble the caliper and springs. Reset the position of the pistons with a tool and then by pressing the brake pedal. Ensure the brake pads adhere perfectly to the disc. Recheck the brake fluid level.
