To replace the front brake pads on an Alfa Romeo 156, remove the bolts securing the wheel. Once the wheel is removed, you will have access to the caliper; this must be detached from the disc by loosening the appropriate securing bolts. When the caliper is detached, you can extract the pads from their housing and replace them with new replacement parts. Once the new pads are installed, the caliper must be reattached to the disc, and the wheel must be refitted by tightening the appropriate bolts.
