To replace the core plugs of the Alfa Romeo 147, lift the car for easier access. The plugs are located at the front of the engine: to remove them, use a flat-head screwdriver as a lever. Since the plugs are press-fitted, you may need to use a hammer to strike the screwdriver to increase the leverage force. Once all the plugs are removed, you can apply the new plugs: these should be inserted under pressure using the hammer.
