First, take the remote in hand and unscrew the battery tray fixing screw located on the side slot of the key using a small crosshead screwdriver; then remove the tray and replace the battery with a new one of the correct type (in this case, a CR 2032 3V). Now insert the battery in the correct orientation and reassemble the remote by screwing in the small screw.
