Over time, the battery that powers the remote control of the Audi A3 depletes, preventing you from opening and closing the doors: at this point, you need to replace the battery. To do this, turn the remote over to the side without buttons, use a small flathead screwdriver to lever along the edge of the rear shell and remove it. This will give you access to the battery compartment; using the same tool, lift out the old battery, remove it, and replace it with a new CR2032, ensuring the positive terminal is facing up. Close the rear shell by pressing until you hear a click.
