In this video, see how to reset the service light on an Audi A6 C6: first, turn on the ignition and start the engine. You will notice that the service overdue light turns on. For models from January 2008 onward, you can reset the light using the "auto" button located on the center console, which will take you to the "car" menu on the multimedia screen, where you can reset the light.

The model in the video is an earlier version, so you will need to use the VCDS tool. The OBD-II port is located on the driver's side; load the program on your laptop and then turn on the ignition; the system will perform a scan, then select "service reset," and it will simply inform you that the operation is complete.

If you check the MMI, it will indicate that the data is not yet updated: this is because you will need to drive for a few miles for the ECU to update the data.
