Today we will explain how to replace the knob of an Audi A3 model 8P car. To perform the replacement of the knob, we need to lift the gear shift boot from its seat, pulling it outward with a plastic extractor. After lifting the gear shift boot, we remove the metal clamp to remove the knob. Once the knob is removed, we insert the new one inside the boot by pressing it onto the base of the gear shift. We secure the new knob with the metal clamp and reposition the boot. We start the vehicle and try to move the gear shift to check that everything is functioning properly.
