How to Change the Gear Knob on an Audi A3

To change the gear knob on an Audi A3, start by removing the gaiter using a plastic wedge. Then, use a screwdriver to lever off the clip that holds the knob in place. Fit the new knob, using the original frame if the new knob doesn't fit properly. Insert and tighten the clip with pliers, then screw on the plastic cover for the clip. Finally, lower the gear gaiter back into its position.
