What to do when the oil light turns on in a VAG group car

Model: Audi A8 MK 2, Typ4e - Years 2003-2009

In this video, we will see what to do if the oil light comes on in a VAG Group vehicle: yellow light indicates that the oil level is below minimum, there may be excessive consumption or a leak. Stop immediately and turn off the engine; check the oil level using the dipstick, or on modern Audis from the "car/service/oil level" menu. If the level is low, top up with oil recommended by the manufacturer and restart the engine. If the light does not go out, look for a nearby workshop. Flashing red light: critical oil pressure, indicates insufficient oil pressure with a risk of engine seizure. It could be a faulty oil pump, dirty oil, a serious leak, or a clogged filter. Stop immediately and call for a tow truck; do not restart the car for any reason. To prevent problems, check the oil every 1,000 km, especially on engines like the EA888 or TDI; use only VAG-approved oil; watch out for leaks, which are common on 2.0 TFSI and 1.9 TDI turbo engines.
