- Years 2000-2004 Unscrew the wheel nuts and lift the car, securing it. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Using a ratchet wrench, unscrew the two bolts of the caliper. Remove the return spring of the brake pads and then remove the clips. Remove the worn brake pads by pulling them out of their seat. Install the new brake pads, paying attention to the direction of rotation and mounting the one with the electrical contacts facing inward. Reassemble the caliper with the two bolts. Reinstall the wheel. Restore the position of the pistons by pushing them inward. Check the brake fluid level and make sure it is not at the minimum.
