In this video, see how to replace the rear brake pads on an Audi A4 B8: First, remove the cap from the brake fluid reservoir, then put the parking brake system in service mode. Lift the rear of the vehicle and remove the wheels. Clean the brake caliper mounting points with a wire brush and WD-40; remove the caliper mounting bolts, then separate the brake pads and remove the bracket, securing it to the brake line. You can remove the brake pads, clean the caliper piston, and push it back using a brake piston return tool; remove the brake pad retaining springs, clean the area well, and then reinstall them. Install the new pads after treating the surface with anti-squeal paste. Reinstall the caliper, treat the rotor with the appropriate cleaner, and put the wheels back on. Lower the vehicle and replace the brake fluid cap.
