How do you replace the dead battery in the key fob of an Audi A4? Let's see in this detailed video how to do it. Take your ignition key fob and remove the metal key; once the metal key is removed, use a small screwdriver to extract the battery holder (made of plastic) from inside. Remove the worn-out battery and take a new one of the same type, then replace it. Reassemble the battery holder in the key fob by pressing on the key case until you hear it click into place (insert the metal key). Check that the key functions correctly.
