To replace the key fob battery in an Audi A4, start by extracting the actual key from its slot. To do this, rotate the fob to the side with the black shell. There is a small button on the metal part. Press it and pull out the key. In the same position on the metal part, you will now find a small black tab. Pull it out to remove the small battery housing block. At this point, the replacement operation is very simple, and once completed, you can reassemble everything by reinserting the battery housing block and repositioning the metal key in its slot.
