How to Remove Component Protection After Replacing the ACC Radar on an Audi

Model: Audi Audi Various
Part: Onboard computer

This video is currently unavailable
Detailed instructions - This is a rather advanced procedure that requires specific equipment and access to the official Audi server. After replacing the ACC radar module, warning messages appear on the dashboard, and the component stops functioning. You will need a laptop with ODIS software installed and configured, along with an active GO online account and a compatible diagnostic interface (VAS 6154, VNC6154, or TabScan 6154C). Perform a full scan, where "component protection active" and "missing coding" will be displayed. Initiate the component removal process, where the system retrieves data from the factory to authorise subsequent procedures. Execute Software Version Management on the radar unit by connecting to the Audi server, which removes component protection, downloads the correct dataset for that specific VIN, applies the factory coding, and updates the software. After coding, conduct a road test. Following the official online procedures is the only truly reliable approach; alternative methods are often ineffective.
