Replacing Audi A3 Key Shell

Model: Audi A3 MK 2, 8P - Years 2003-2013

In today's tutorial, you will learn how to disassemble and replace the key shell on an Audi A3, as well as other models from the manufacturer (from 2005 to 2013). First, pry off the rear cover with something thin to remove the battery; then unscrew the screw found underneath and open the remote, removing the electronic board. At this point, remove the key and the transponder; simply transfer everything to the new shell by inserting the electronic board, the transponder, and the key along with its mechanism, as shown in the video!
