To remove the mirror glass on an Audi A4 B8, simply pry it from the back using a wedge or a plastic trim tool: work slowly to avoid damaging any parts, especially the clips, as this is a delicate task, though not difficult. Once you have successfully extracted the glass, disconnect the wires and you're done.
