How to Replace the Remote Battery in an Audi A6

Replacing the key battery requires some effort but is not impossible. Obtain a new button battery, model CR 2032 at 3V, and have some manual dexterity. Extract the emergency key by pressing on the shell. To replace the battery, open the cover; use the extracted key to help. Insert it into the slot, tilting it slightly towards the inside of the remote until you see the cover slightly open. At this point, detach the cover, remove the battery, and replace it with the new one. Finally, reinsert the battery cover and the emergency key.
