How to Remove the Steering Wheel from an Audi A3

Before explaining how to remove the steering wheel from the Audi A3, disconnect the battery to protect the integrity of the entire electrical system and the airbag. First, unlock the steering distance adjustment system and position the steering wheel as far away from the dashboard as possible. Next, remove the small plastic cap located on the top of the steering wheel and, using a 30 mm spanner, unscrew the visible screw. Do the same for the lower screw. At this point, pull the centre of the steering wheel towards you and disconnect the orange connector first, followed by the black one. Finally, unscrew the central screw and pull the remaining part of the steering wheel towards you.
