How to Open the Hood of an Audi A4 Without a Key

This feature is increasingly common in mid to high-end vehicles, such as the Audi A4. The video shows in detail what to do if you don't want to use the key, or if your hands are occupied, to open the trunk simply by passing your foot under the infrared sensor located at the rear of the vehicle. This works because the key you possess, for example in your pants pocket, emits a code that is detected and recognized by the infrared sensor, which in turn communicates the opening command to the control unit, as illustrated.
