How do you replace the control unit of the Audi A4?

The control unit of the Audi A4 is located inside the engine compartment: it is located in the upper part of it, immediately below the windshield on the driver's side. To reach it, you can open the hood and then loosen the appropriate protective panel. By doing so, the control unit can be freed from the appropriate fixing screws and disconnected from its power cables: at this point it will be possible to connect the new control unit to them and it will need to be fixed in its seat, covering everything with the panel and checking that everything is functioning.
