Reverse Light Switch Replacement

Model: Audi A6 MK 3, C6 - Years 2004-2012

The reverse light switch is responsible for turning on the rear lights when the vehicle is put into reverse. It is located on the transmission just above the axle. To remove it, position the vehicle on a lift or on appropriate jack stands. Once the vehicle is raised, locate the switch, disconnect the connector, and unscrew the switch itself (it is shaped like a bulb). Then, screw in and tighten the new switch and reconnect the connector. Finally, put the vehicle in reverse and ensure the rear lights illuminate correctly.
