Removing the Car Glove Compartment

Model: Audi A4 B6 - Years 2000-2004
Part: Glove compartment

To replace the glove compartment in your car, first empty it completely. Then, locate and unscrew the four Torx screws, two at the top and two at the bottom. Once done, you can pull out the drawer, being careful to disconnect the light once the drawer is removed, just enough to maneuver the bulb. Locate and remove the air duct. After that, find and remove the cabin filter cover by detaching the five metal clips that hold it in place, extracting the filter and paying attention to the orientation in which it is installed.

How do you replace the battery in the key fob of an Audi A4? Let's see how to do it in detail: take your remote and press the button to release the metal key (if present). Once extracted, use a lever to separate the two covers (as shown in the video). Remove the dead battery from the compartment (after separating the two halves of the covers), take a new one of the same size and voltage. Reassemble the plastic battery holder into the remote cover, then insert the metal key back into the cover. Check the remote's proper functioning.
