How to Remove the Shift Knob and Boot on an Audi A6

In the video, we can see how to remove and reinstall the shift knob and boot. First, remove the base of the shift boot, which is snap-fitted. Use a flat object to pry it out of its seat. After lifting the boot, remove the metal clamp that secures it to the shift lever, and then you can pull the shift knob upwards. This will also remove the boot. To reinstall everything, follow the same steps in reverse order: first, reinstall the shift knob, then the clamp, and finally the base of the boot.
