Today, learn how to replace the shift knob and boot on an Audi A6. This operation can be done independently, thanks to our short video tutorial. The steps are simple and quick, requiring a flathead screwdriver.

Start by removing the hard plastic piece at the base of the shift boot. After lifting the shift boot, remove the clip located just below the knob.

Slightly lower the boot and, by rotating the knob, remove it. After removing the knob, you can also take off the boot. Installation follows the reverse procedure, whether using a compatible knob or an original one. Insert the boot into the hard plastic piece and mount it inside the mechanism, then insert the knob and test the operation of the shifter.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space.
