How do you replace the thermostat of the Audi A6?

In order to replace the thermostat of the Audi A6, you need to open the hood so that you have access to the components located inside the engine compartment: here you can locate the plastic cover on the top of the engine block, which needs to be removed. Underneath it, you can find the tube for the passage of the coolant on the right side, which needs to be disconnected by removing the corresponding ring: after removal, it will be possible to remove the thermostat positioned below it, replacing it with a new one and reassembling all the previously removed parts.

Prepare to take off the plastic grille: use a socket spanner to unscrew the fasteners securing the grille (located on the inside of the bumper).
