Installing Springs for Automatic Liftgate of Audi A4 8K

To install springs that allow the automatic opening of the liftgate on the Audi A4, open the trunk hood and place a rod to prevent it from closing while you remove the side shocks. Using a flathead screwdriver, remove the safety clip from the shock ends, detach the shock from the pins, unscrew the end attached to the rod, and insert the spring onto the rod, placing the rubber ring at the base of the thread.

Screw the end back on and reinstall the shock onto the pins, securing it with the safety clips using pliers. Repeat the process on the other shock: now, when you open the liftgate with the remote, it will open automatically, while the closing will remain manual.
